Time is running out and we still have a lot of work to do.. The last week has been pretty frantic with preparations for the imminent departure. Adrien is busy contacting officials from NGOs all over Italy that have worked against bird poaching and trapping and many of them appear eager to help us. As he builds this net of contacts the itinerary is starting to take shape and armed with a phone and lots of patience Benji is starting to contact hunting associations in the areas that will be visited, organizing appointments and trying to get a clearer picture of some of the main hunting areas. On Friday we are off, a long drive down to the Southern tip of Calabria awaits us..
We will update this blog when possible, telling you our stories and anecdotes from the field. It will also be an opportunity for us to tell you about their stories…birds, hunters, NGOs, rural communities all have a say. These voices and songs, stories and plights, will be listened by us and then told to you, when possible and as truthfully as possible..
